What is BJVP Pigging System Used for Recovery?

At the end of pumping a product through a pipeline, residual products are left in the piping system. Pigging technology is used to recover these residual products within the piping system. This is done by sending a cylindrical elastomer device, called a “pig,” through the pipeline with compressed air or nitrogen. The pig is designed with a slightly compressed periphery that helps remove residual products as it moves through the piping system.
