Pigging System: Efficient Pipeline Cleaning & Product Recovery
A pigging system, also known as a pipeline cleaning and product recovery system, is designed to clean pipelines and recover residual liquid products. It uses compressed air or nitrogen to propel a cylindrical 'pig' (typically made of rubber or polyurethane), slightly larger than the internal diameter of the pipe, through the pipeline, scraping and recovering product from the pipe walls.
